Save and replay chat quotes

Let chat immortalise the daft thing you just said, and pull it back up later.

A quote list is the cheapest running joke a channel can have. Your mods add the line, anyone can pull one back up months later.

1. Add your first one from the dashboard

  1. Open Quotes in the sidebar.
  2. Pick the channel at the top if you have more than one.
  3. Type what was said in the Add a quote box.
  4. Fill in Said by, and the Game or category if it matters.
  5. Save. The quote gets a number, and that number is how chat asks for it later.

2. The chat commands

  1. !quote on its own pulls a random one.
  2. !quote 42 pulls that exact number.
  3. !quote pizza searches the text and returns a match.
  4. !addquote what was said - who said it adds one without leaving chat.
  5. !delquote 42 removes one.

!addquote and !delquote are mods and above only, and a viewer who types them gets NO reply at all - the bot ignores the message rather than arguing in your chat. If a viewer tells you the command is broken, this is almost always what happened.

The dash in !addquote that was intentional - Dave is what splits the line from the speaker. Leave it out and the whole thing is stored as the quote with nobody attached. The game and the date are filled in for you from whatever you were streaming.
