Thank raiders and regulars automatically

Shout out an incoming raid, and say thanks for Super Chats and memberships.

Raids arrive when you are mid-sentence and least able to react. These are the lines the bot posts for you.

1. Shout out raids

  1. In the app, open Chat > Chat Messages in the sidebar and pick the Shoutouts & Welcomes tab (older app versions: Channel Settings > Shoutouts & Welcomes). It starts on All platforms - pick one platform at the top only if you want it different there.
  2. Turn on the master switch, Automatic welcomes and raid shoutouts. It is off by default. (!so and !raidout have their own switches and work either way.)
  3. Under Raids in, check Shout out incoming raids is on.
  4. Write the raid Message. Use the placeholders so it names them.
  5. Set Only raids of at least if you only want it for real ones.

The placeholders are {user} for the raider, {viewers} for how many they brought, {game} for what they last streamed, and {link} for their channel. A message with no placeholders posts the same words every time and reads like a form letter.

2. Welcome people back

  1. Turn on Welcome someone who has never chatted here and write the First-time message - what the bot says the first time somebody ever talks.
  2. Turn on Welcome regulars back and write the Returning message, for people you have not seen in a while.
  3. Quiet period (minutes), near the top, is how long somebody has to have been silent before the welcome-back counts.

3. Say thanks for money (YouTube)

  1. Under Thank-yous, turn on Thank people who donate. It is off by default.
  2. Donation / Super Chat is used for Super Chats, Super Stickers and Jewels. New sub or member is used for new members and membership milestones. Gifted subs is used for gifted memberships.
  3. Set Minimum gap between thank-yous (seconds). During a gift bomb the extras are skipped, not queued.

The thank-yous only fire for YouTube Super Chats, Super Stickers, Jewels and memberships. Twitch and Kick subs and tips do not use them.

{game} is what they last streamed: Twitch always knows; on Kick it is known while they are live, or when they use GriddleBot. When nobody knows, a line worded like the default ("...they were last streaming {game}") simply leaves that part out; any other wording gets "something great". YouTube has no raids.

Post a recap of last stream when you go live posts a link to your last stream's recap. For !raidout and !so, Let AI write it uses your bot's persona when AI Chat is set up.
