Give your mods access
Let moderators help run your channel from their own account, without handing over your login.
You can let a moderator help run your channel from their own GriddleBot account, without giving them your login.
- Your mod needs their own GriddleBot account. Ask them for their GriddleBot username.
- In the app, open Chat > Moderation in the sidebar and pick the Channel Mods tab. (Older app versions: Channel Settings > Channel Mods.)
- Click Add and type Their Griddle username.
- Choose What they can do: Manager (everything, including ending the stream), Moderator (chat and scenes help, but cannot end the stream), or Custom.
- For Custom, tick the Extra permissions to give them. The ones marked with a warning sign act on your stream or on real viewers.
- Click Add. There is no invite to accept - they have access straight away, and a Mod Dashboard button appears for them on the GriddleBot website.
What they can do starts on Manager, which can end your stream. Pick Moderator or Custom unless you trust them with that.
Being a moderator in your Twitch or Kick chat does NOT put somebody in Channel Mods, and being in Channel Mods does not make them a chat moderator. The two are separate and both need doing.
Give the narrowest set that lets them help. You can change it later by editing them in Channel Mods, and deleting them there takes their access away immediately.
