Set up moderation and the AI filter
Automod levels, what the AI does, and the one setting that stops it working.
GriddleBot has two layers: fast rules that catch obvious things, and an AI that reads meaning rather than spelling.
- Open Moderation Settings.
- Turn on the basic filters you want: links, caps, symbols, repeated messages.
- Scroll to AI moderation and turn it on.
- Pick the categories to act on — harassment, hate speech, threats, scams.
- Set the confidence needed before it acts on its own. Below that, messages are held for you to review instead.
- Save.
The bot must be a MODERATOR in your channel. Without that it can see everything and do nothing — it will detect a problem, decide to act, and be refused by the platform. Type /mod TheGriddleBot in your chat — exactly that name.
Start with a high confidence threshold and check the AI Review Queue for a few streams. It shows you what it would have done, so you can lower the threshold when you trust it.
