Control OBS from the dashboard

Switch scenes, start the stream and toggle sources without alt-tabbing.

OBS only listens to programs on the same PC, so this is one of the things the desktop app exists for. The website cannot reach OBS on its own.

  1. In OBS, open Tools then WebSocket Server Settings.
  2. Tick Enable WebSocket server.
  3. Click Show Connect Info and copy the password.
  4. Open the GriddleBot desktop app and go to the OBS tab.
  5. Paste the password and click Connect.
  6. Your scenes appear. Clicking one switches OBS.

Leave the port as OBS gives it unless you know you changed it. A wrong port fails in exactly the same way as a wrong password, which makes it hard to tell which you got wrong.

You can hide scenes you never switch to - separators, staging scenes - so the list stays short. That only affects this list, not OBS.
