Install and pair the desktop app

What the app is for, and how to connect it to your account.

The website does everything that happens in the cloud. The desktop app does the things that need to touch your own PC — OBS, your speakers, your lights, your files. It is free and optional.

1. Open the Software page and click Download.
2. Run the installer. Windows may warn that the publisher is unknown — click More info, then Run anyway.
3. Open the app. It shows a pairing code.
4. On the website, open Software and enter that code.
5. The app shows as linked. It stays linked after restarts.

The app has to be running for anything it owns to work — OBS control, the soundboard, smart lights, clip capture from OBS. Closing it to the tray is fine; quitting it is not.

It updates itself. When an update installs you will see a short note about what changed.
