Get the bot into your chat

Connect a platform, get GriddleBot talking, and check it actually works.

Everything else needs this done first. It takes about two minutes per platform.

1. Install the GriddleBot app and sign in - the Install and pair the desktop app guide walks through it.
2. In the app, open Moderation in the sidebar, under Chat.
3. Each platform you have not connected yet shows a button: Turn on Twitch moderation, Connect YouTube or Connect Kick.
4. Twitch turns on straight away, using the Twitch account you signed in with. YouTube and Kick open your browser - approve the permissions there, then come back and reopen the Moderation tab.
5. The platform now shows whether the bot is running in your chat and whether it is a moderator.
6. Type !commands in your own chat. If the bot replies with a link to your commands, it is working.

On Twitch and Kick the bot must be a MODERATOR in your channel or it can read messages but not delete them or time anyone out. The Moderation tab checks this for you: if it says Not a moderator, use its Make ... a mod button, or its Copy /mod button (usually /mod TheGriddleBot) and paste that into your chat. On Kick, type /mod GriddleBot - that one account does the banning and deleting and is who GriddleBot's messages are posted as (unmodded, other bots like BotRix can ban it). Detection without moderator powers looks like the bot ignoring things.

You can connect all three platforms to one account. Your commands work in every chat at once. Pages with a platform picker at the top start on All platforms, so a change you save reaches every chat and anything you leave alone stays as each platform had it - pick one platform there only when you want it to be different. Quotes are one list shared by every chat.
