Get the bot into your chat
Connect a platform, get GriddleBot talking, and check it actually works.
Everything else needs this done first. It takes about two minutes per platform.
- Open Moderation Settings from the sidebar.
- Click Connect next to Twitch, Kick or YouTube.
- You will be sent to that platform to sign in. Approve the permissions it asks for.
- You come back to GriddleBot and the platform shows as connected.
- Type !commands in your own chat. If the bot replies, it is working.
On Twitch and Kick the bot must be a MODERATOR in your channel or it can read messages but not delete them or time anyone out. Type /mod TheGriddleBot in your chat — exactly that name, not just 'griddlebot'. Detection without moderator powers looks like the bot ignoring things.
You can connect all three platforms to one account. Commands, points and moderation then work across every chat at once.
