Set up clips on Kick

Get !clip working on Kick, and know why it needs more setup than Twitch.

On Twitch, clipping works as soon as your account is connected. Kick is different, and it is worth knowing why before you start.

  1. Open Moderation Settings and make sure your Kick channel is connected.
  2. Open Auto-Clips in the sidebar.
  3. Turn on clips and choose who is allowed to use !clip — everyone, subscribers, or moderators only.
  4. Set the clip length. Free accounts can clip up to 120 seconds; Pro goes to 300.
  5. Save, then type !clip in your Kick chat while live.

Kick clips are only created while you are actually live. Running !clip when the stream is offline cannot work — there is nothing to capture.

Clips expire after 45 days. Download anything you want to keep.
