Set up channel points of your own

Your own currency, earned for watching and chatting, spent on games and the shop.

This is GriddleBot's own points system, separate from Twitch channel points, and it works the same on all three platforms. It is what the points shop and the betting games spend, and what chat games pay out.

1. Switch it on

  1. In the app, open Points & Games > Points in the sidebar (older app versions: Channel Settings > Points & Economy). It starts on All platforms - pick one platform at the top only if you want it different there.
  2. Turn on Enable points.
  3. Set What they're called - whatever your chat should call them.
  4. Set Per chat message, and Per interval, just for watching together with How long an interval is (minutes).
  5. Only pay people who have chatted recently is on by default: interval points then only go to people who chatted within Counted as active for (minutes). Turn it off to pay quieter viewers too.
  6. Save.

2. Decide how they can gamble it

  1. Turn on Enable betting games - none of the games below work without it.
  2. Set Smallest bet, Biggest bet and Per-viewer cooldown (seconds), so nobody can empty their balance in ten seconds.
  3. Under Gamble, Chance of winning and Payout multiplier control !gamble.
  4. Under Heist, Chance each member survives, Payout multiplier and Join window (seconds) control the group game.
  5. There is also a Lottery - Ticket price, Tickets per viewer, House cut (%) and how long Ticket sales open (seconds) - plus slots, duels, predictions, auctions and tug of war.

Chance of winning and Payout multiplier together decide whether points get created or destroyed. A generous pair means the balances climb forever and nothing in your shop is worth anything a month later. GriddleBot refuses to save a !gamble or !heist that pays back more than 1.25 times the bet on average and tells you why - keep both close to breaking even. House cut (%) only takes a slice of the lottery pot; it does nothing for !gamble or !heist.

Multipliers let Subscribers, VIPs or Moderators earn faster. Only the highest one a viewer qualifies for applies - they do not stack. The Leaderboard page, under Community, shows top viewers and streamers across all of GriddleBot in a network-wide currency, not your own points.
