Set up channel points of your own
Your own currency, earned for watching and chatting, spent on games and the shop.
This is GriddleBot's own points system, separate from Twitch channel points, and it works the same on all three platforms. It is what the points shop and the chat games spend.
1. Switch it on
- Open Community Economy in the sidebar.
- Turn on Enable the points economy.
- Set the Currency name - whatever your chat should call them.
- Set Points per message, and Points per interval with the interval length, for people who are just watching.
- Turn on Only reward recently-active chatters if you do not want to pay lurkers who have wandered off.
- Save.
2. Decide how they can gamble it
- Set min and max bet, and a cooldown, so nobody can empty their balance in ten seconds.
- Gamble win chance and payout control !gamble.
- Heist survival chance, payout and join window control the group game.
- There is also a lottery with a ticket price, max tickets each, a house cut and a draw window.
The win chance and the payout together decide whether points get created or destroyed. A generous pair means the balances climb forever and nothing in your shop is worth anything a month later. The page shows you the expected return and refuses combinations that would run away - the house cut is the dial that fixes inflation.
Bonus multipliers let subscribers or VIPs earn faster. If your site has the global leaderboard turned on, a Leaderboard entry appears in the sidebar showing top viewers and streamers across all of GriddleBot.
