Let chat play a sound or switch a scene

Map !airhorn to a sound, or !brb to an OBS scene, and let chat press the button.

A chat trigger connects a phrase in your chat to something happening on your PC. The website stores the rule, the desktop app performs it - which is why the app has to be open.

1. Set up the thing you want triggered first - a sound in the app's Soundboard, or a scene in OBS.
2. Open Chat Triggers in the sidebar.
3. Chat phrase: what viewers type, e.g. !airhorn.
4. Action: Play sound, Switch OBS scene, or Mute and Unmute a Voicemeeter strip.
5. Type the target - the sound name, scene name, or strip name.
6. Who can use it: Everyone, Subscribers, VIPs, Mods, or just you.
7. Cooldown: how many seconds before it can fire again.
8. Add trigger.

The target has to match what the app or OBS already calls it, character for character. A scene named BRB will not match brb. There is no dropdown and no error - a mistyped target simply does nothing when somebody types the phrase.

Nothing fires while the desktop app is closed. The chat message still arrives at the server, the rule still matches, and then there is nothing on your PC listening to carry it out.

Set a cooldown of at least a few seconds on anything that makes noise. Without one, the first person to discover !airhorn will find out how many times a second they can send it. Triggers work in every platform chat your bot is in.
