Run a subathon

A clock on screen that subs, bits, Kicks and tips add time to.

A subathon is a countdown that support extends. You decide how much time each kind of support buys.

1. In the app, open Points & Games > Subathon in the sidebar. (Older app versions: Channel Settings > Subathon.)
2. Turn on Enable subathon - time is only added while it is on.
3. Set Starting clock (minutes), and think about Cap total added time (minutes). 0 means uncapped.
4. Under What adds time, turn off any sources you do not want counting.
5. Under How much time, set the seconds each one adds. The defaults are 300 (5 minutes) per sub, resub and gifted sub, and 60 per 100 bits, per 100 Kicks, per 100 Jewels and per 1 tipped.
6. Save, then click Start at the top of the page.
7. Add the Subathon timer widget to your overlay - Stream Overlay, Widgets, Add widget - so viewers can see the clock.

Set your rates and Save BEFORE you press Start - Start uses the saved settings, not unsaved edits. Changing rates mid-subathon does not re-price time that has already been added, and viewers notice.

Bits, Kicks and Jewels each have their own rate, so they can be worth different amounts - they are not the same currency. Tips and Super Chats share one rate, Per 1 tipped (and per Super Chat unit). Adjust adds or removes minutes by hand, for support that arrived somewhere GriddleBot cannot see.
